Pastor Ron has served as Pastor or AFBC since August of 1998
"The best of both worlds." If you think about it it is what we all really want. For instance, we want the extra piece of cheese cake and to lose weight while eating it.
When people are looking into getting involved in a church they want the best of both worlds. They want small enough to be known and needed. Yet, they want it to be large enough to be able to attempt great things.
AFBC is one of those churches that offer the best of both worlds. We are small enough to where everyone can be known and needed. Yet we are large enough to accomplish such things as supporting dozens of local and international missionaries or putting on Alexandria's Yearly 5k Run, or to build a gym so that we can offer Alexandria's families Upward Basketball & Cheerleading.
The driving force behind all of this is Jesus.
The Bible makes it quite clear that churches and the people of those churches are to live out their faith in a real way. That faith should affect us personally, our families, our church and our community.
We have one life and like David we want it to be said that "(they) served God in their generation."
